Benchmade 710 vs Spyderco Military vs Spyderco police and Extrema ratio Resolza???

I agree with those above. I think the Police 3 is a better comparison to the 710 than is the Military. The Spyderco Police 3 would be my choice.

Here is my thinking. Both of these are excellent knives. I own many of each brand but overall I find the Spydercos cut much better. They have better edge geometry in general. The Police 3 is full flat ground and if you are cutting something you want thin and unbroken, like a ripe tomato or an apple, the P3 is going to do that better and the 710 is going to be problematic once it reaches that 'shelf', the thicker blade stock from the grind. The 710 will tend to push the food outward. Also, and I was just pondering this earlier today, if you have one of these in your pocket and it gets upside down, guess which one is easier to feel in order to get it in your hand properly and open it quickly coming out? The P3 with that big hole.

How do these folders (military,g10 police,710 and resolza ) compare to newer zero tolerance models in quality and performance?(zt909,zt450,zt620,zt630,zt452).Ill probably get police g10 or 710 first, then the other ones:)!Police is longest one, thin, with thin blade.Have no doubt theyre all good knives. This Zt Sinkevitch design flipper is nice too, looks like very good slicer, and all around knife. My problem is I have to order these online without handling first.I have handled 710,police,military in person, before(had military, but never used it and sold it to my buddy).Have carried police 1 for few years, and liked it,but new model is even better with g10 and ffg blade that's better cutter for sure.

I have a Millie and 710, can't speak on the Police or ER. The 710 is an iconic knife, it wins for me hands down.

I cut apples all the time with my 710 and they don't split and it's not problematic. Where the grind stops, you can barely feel it - there's almost no transition, so it's very close to a full flat grind.

I have multiple 710's and a Police 3, and I can tell you the Police is vastly superior as a food prep tool. I agree the 710 is serviceable, but it lags far behind the Police for that type of work.

If you like your pm2 but want something longer, isn't t the military the logical choice? It s a great slicer and has fine ergonomics. I like my 710 for edc, but think the military might be better for food prep.

Yes I like my PM and have been using it past few days, blade is just short, Im going to get all 4 knives,as theyre all excellent.
