The knife was being designed as a small tactical knife for airline pilots to resist hijacking. Hence the name.

After reading the rest of the thread, I'll stick with my 1st comment...its ignorant and the bottom of the barrel ! Thats the last thing I want to see is the pilot getting in a knife fight !(and it very well could see be the LAST thing you see !) ITs almost impossible to stop someone who's willing to give their life for a Cause!

epic lols, look at the way tarani disarms that knife at 0:16, this is 100% pure fantasy/ hollywood garbage, you try that in real life against a knife wielding assailant you are going to get cut and probobly go into shock very quickly

Alright, this vid had me in stitches. Anything even resembling that knife disarm at the start is the silliest thing anybody should ever attempt, ever. How can anyone even take this kind of thing serious. Elite operators.

I actually like the looks of the knife, other than the grippy portion on the top of the blade. The story telling behind the design - not so much.
