Benchmade Adamas realization

Hundreds? I counted like 7, and at least half of them created a video because the first guy did it.
Pretty common, all my social medias are practically only knife content, and i see them failing very often. Frankly i think with any one of them a good spine whack or some batoning and they will fail

I watched that DBK fail too. Maybe the new model coming out will be remedied somehow that this isn't an issue. CF scales I believe? I'm kind of surprised when QC fails that hard over this length of time. You'd think they would have tweaked them by now.

Every dud off the shelf is the potential loss of a customer forever.

How can you watch every episode? Those guys are too over the top for me to get through a whole video.
They are very over the top, i completely understand. But All the other bushcraft guys are dead inside, somewhere in the middle would be great

Lookup adamas fail on YouTube, there are hundreds, i have never had any other axis lock luckily its just an issue with the Adamas mainly
I'll have to wait for the new one to get smacked around by Advanced knife bro or DBK and see. I'm not a huge Benchmade fan (I have 1 mini onslaught) but the Adamas appeals to me for a full size work knife.

I lied, I have a superfreek too.

Im not a benchmade fan but og 940s probably have more pocket time than any other knife for me, only exception would be the rat 2 which i carried as a beater and still do every day

I’ve done stuff with mine you shouldn’t do with a knife and it’s laughed it off. Main thing the Adamas has going for it is durability.

You still spine whack your knives? What is this, 2005?🤣 Post video. I’d like to see all these failures.

I have 5 BMs including a 9 year old D2 Adamas and have never experienced failure or spring break. But I do not baton and I do not use them to pry anything open. So I don't don't doubt that there are some failures out there, especially if people are batoning with these folders. But I've never experienced it first hand. They all open, cut and close with no issues.

An opinion on why the lock fails on that model
Just look around lol it’s every Adamas in crew wear to my knowledge, id rather have my target brand paring knife in a survival situation.

Also, I will say that I would agree inasmuch that these knives aren't slicers. Blade's too thick for that. But, a big sharp CruWear blade, I haven't run into anything it won't go through. I'm sorry you guys got lemons. Like my bud @Steely_Gunz I am not a BM fanboy, and won't defend them or say that they've never let a dud slip past QC, because I know it can happen. It's just the first time I've seen someone have this same issue with multiple knives of the same model. When I see that, I tend to start looking at the common denominator.
Posted some videos on page 2

If you’ve had it with the knife, i’d take the knife apart and check it myself. The mechanism of the axis lock should be fairly simple. The failure mode should be a big glaring problem if it’s as sensitive as you report.

Has anyone actually ever been stranded in the wilderness and had their pocket knife of choice make a difference in their survival? Or is it just a marketing department selling a lifestyle?

Asking for a friend.
Ehh i got pretty lost on my thru hike attempt of the Appalachian trail, wasnt life or death for me but took about 5 hours for me to find the trail. Used my knife to make some feathersticks and get a small fire going so i could see smoke and start walking away from that point and back in directions. Was in a car accident once and had to cut my seatbelt. Its kind of a gimic but sh** happens man. And if you are going to advertise a knife as that, it better be able to do it
