Benchmade rules. I just had an experience with them and I am very impressed with their customer service.
I had an Osborne 940 with two broken omega springs. I sent it in and they replaced them, but when I got the knife back they had sharpened it quite a bit (this is their policy, but they don't tell you about it). They took a lot of steel. The edge that they put on it was also course. When I sent it in it had a nice polished edge -so there was no reason to sharpen it in the first place.
I emailed them and said that their sharpening policy was bad and that they should have at least notified me before they did it. I was surprised to see a smaller blade than what I had sent in (they ground a amount of steel). They emailed me back today and offered to replace the blade in my knife with a new one. They also gave me free shipping both ways.
I am going to take them up on the offer. That is amazing customer service if you ask me. The original problem was caused with good intent anyways (sharpening it for me), however they assumed that it was something everyone would like.
Benchmade will work with you until you are a happy satisfied customer. I am going to be a big time supporter of BM:thumbup:.
