Looks great! I can't wait to get my hands on one.

So any first/second impressions? Do you like it? How are the ergos? and does it feel as bladeheavy as some people have said?
 
The advertised MSRP is $210. If you can find them for $130, you're doing well. It's a big knife. It is 1/2" longer than the 710 and a longer blade @ nearly four inches. Heat treat is impressive.
It's a bit fatter than the 710, but not too bad. Both are thinner than my 755 MPR.
I've been impressed with Benchmade; really like their products and C.S.

Look at the mirror-image on the clip on the green 940. Sometimes, ya can't win. That's a great knife.

i have not used it, so i cannot comment on use. the knife feels great in hand. it does not feel "blade heavy" at all. the G10 is extra-coarse and there is freaking jimping everywhere. i don't know the actual weight, but this knife feels light for it's size. i have a PE on the way and i think i might have to stock up with a couple more. awesome knife. i love it.

Sounds great! Yeah off the top of my head the weight was something like 7 oz give or take. Not bad for such a big folder with such thick steel stock.

So how does that huge choil feel? I am guessing you get 2 fingers in it? or maybe 3?

my hands are 2XL so i barely get 2 in the choil.

Thanks for that pic on the 940. It's an inch shorter than the 710 and still a 3.4" blade. Got me interested.

Wow...The picture kind of turned me off from this knife. I've been wanting one real bad, but that huge curve in the grip just looks like it shouldn't be so pronounced. It just makes it look the ergos aren't going to be too good on this one. I hope I'm wrong.

Still waiting on that plain edge one.

I was skeptical too, but have only heard good things about the ergos.

I'll let you know when mine comes in ;)
