Benchmade Customer Service Epic Fail

I sort of hesitate to say this because I absolutely don't want to blame the OP, but what you're saying deserves a lot of consideration - unfortunately. Accidents happen. :(

Agreed. You SHOULD be able to send a knife to a KNIFE COMPANY and not have it screwed up. It was sent with directions that anyone who works at a knife company should have understood.

This does not sound like an accident to me, it sounds like gross negligence and incompetence.

Subscribed... I have to know the outcome of this travesty. Benchmade is my favorite knife maker, if they don't make this right for you, I will be very disappointed in them. Tt.

The metallic medallions in the handles is not something they would/can replace.
Hope it is resolved to your satisfaction.

This is no accident. It's incompetence, stupidity or the combination of both.

I'm glad you guys never eff up. ;)

Sorry to hear this Brommeland. This is like taking your car in to have the transmission serviced only to have them destroy the engine.

That's why I fix my own stuff, my AFCK liner lock was slipping, so I stoned it with a diamond hone to the right angle and it was fine. The problem with mine now is that one of the liners stripped so I had to put a longer screw and nut on it to keep it usable.

I thought about taking all the screws one size over our maybe go metric but I'm gonna wait to see how this comes out first.

Again, good luck.

Update: I got a call first thing this AM. BM found a plain edge M2 blade and sent me a UPS overnight label to ship the knife back to them for installation. While I would have preferred my original blade, it looks like they are trying to make things right. My attitude is improving.....I'll post again when the knife gets back here.

Great news. I'm hoping it turns out to your satisfaction.

I would say you can't ask any better than this...at this point.

Good news them finding a replacement 800 HS blade. Hope they give you the Gold Class treatment and include the Kid Gloves in the shipping box. Please let us know how it turns out!

It's actually an 804 blade, but this one is a plain edge. I can live with it OK....
