so I have been buying Benchmade knifes since around 1995 ,I sent a 940 in that I’ve had for awhile and filled out the paperwork,I requested a new blade be put on it ,and yes I am aware that there is a charge, and I am fine with that ,the problem is the total lack of contact from Benchmade,I know they received it because I sent it priority mail and tracked it ,and have since emailed them twice ,so I am moving on ,I ignored the whole gun issue, but there lack of customer service I can’t ignore, there’s a lot of great knifes out there now ,which wasn’t the case when I started buying them some 20 years ago ,so goodbye Benchmade!

That’s the point, they have it ,like I said it was sent priority mail ,I have emailed twice ,I have sent knifes into other manufacturers and it was a totally different experience,at this point I don’t care if I get it back ,far as I am concerned I am done with Benchmade,to many other options ,like I said I have been a customer since the 90s ,I guess I am a slow learner, not to mention I bought a griptillian a couple months ago to use as a work knife ,the axis lock was so rough I had to take it apart when it was brand new ,the lock bar was rubbing on the frn scales ,I fixed it but really ?i know it’s just a grip but u can’t tell me whoever assembled it didn’t notice that, the last 2 Spyderco knifes I’ve bought this month a par 2 and 3 are so smooth, like they care what’s going out the door

I’m on the outs with BM, but I come to the forum here to find out if there’s anything they have done to correct their recent debacle. Good thing I’m not holding my breath!

What I can say is that for me, it has taken 3 - 7 days for them to send an email that they’ve received the knife after it actually arrives.

imo relax a bit and have you tried actually calling or do you hope every email is answered? I have sent in more than a fair share of blades to Benchmade and usually, it takes a few weeks to get an email so hold your horses because people get busy, emails get lost in the shuffle, people go on vacation so relax it happens to all of us at some point. I tried getting customer service from cold steel for months and no luck.

Lol I am relaxed,I’m just not going to do business with them anymore, its called customer service not customer groveling

This comma usage just fried my brain :)

Why all the hullabaloo? You don’t like BM. Move on. There’s plenty of guys who’ve had nothing but excellent experiences with them. If you don’t like BM’s CS, I hope you never have to experience Spyderco’s...

I always feel a bit suspicious when someone joins a forum just to complain, and then keeps the complaining going after they made their point. You hate Benchmade, fine, you and a bunch of others do as well. If you like Spyderco, fine, you and those same others do as well.

I, on the other hand, quite like Benchmade and will keep buying their "over-priced" wares.

I like to second what others have been saying, sometimes venting = trolling, it's hard to tell the difference. This is a Benchmade subforum and you're not going to get much love when you're not looking for a solution but just hating.

Bye..... Just have Benchmade forward the knife to me since you no longer want it.

Trolling? I don’t think so ,just not a fan boy ,And I wasn’t looking for you to offer me a solution, and if sharing my experience is hating well get over it and yes I’m new here and didn’t realize this was a fanboy forum instead of a knife discussion forum ,
