Benchmade customer service

No one called you a troll, so no need to get heated up. I said it's hard to tell the difference. Your story is pretty spotty and most your responding posts have been defensive and not responsive with details on what happened. No one here is twisting your arm to continue to buy benchmade, so no fanboys here. I believe for the most part, people have been trying to be helpful. But I guess this is what people get for trying to be helpful.

Trolling? I don’t think so ,just not a fan boy ,And I wasn’t looking for you to offer me a solution, and if sharing my experience is hating well get over it and yes I’m new here and didn’t realize this was a fanboy forum instead of a knife discussion forum ,
Ha. I’ll be the first to admit I’m a benchmade fanboy. It’s funny all these folks saying “I’m done with benchmade!” When we know they are secretly still buying and using those sweet knives. Benchmades are just irresistible.

I was a fan, but can’t condone their political bent. As stated before, I look for them to do better on that part as I have it in my heart to forgive. Still waiting.

I have since purchased many products from other makers.

Yep ,it wasn’t there political crap for me ,each there own on that stuff for me ,it’s the decline in quality and customer service, for 180$ you would think they could grind a blade on both sides to something close to the same angle

well, it still cuts right? I feel like expectations have been increasing and people expect perfect or almost perfect from things manufactured in a production setting.

Your kidding right? You think the same angle on both sides of the blade is being picky?you should not have to re profile a 200 $ knife out of the box ,if that’s a unrealistic expectation than I’m guilty

Amazed that one bad episode of customer service would turn you off of a company you've been supporting for so long. This would easily be fixed with a call. Now i can somewhat with the overpriced stuff when compared to a lot of whats out there nowadays, but Benchmade is still known for top notch customer service and some sweet designs.

Yep my first one ,and I still have it was a Crawford leopard cub,ATS34 ,to bad they have gotten to the point there at now ,I guess it’s got to the point u have hand select to get a good one, like I said I had to fix a Griptilian and sharpen it out of the box and I have a new 950 with different angles on each side of the blade ,I could re profile it but I think I will sell or trade it instead

well they are ground by hand they might be close or they might not be but everyone's tolerance to flaws or issues is different. I use knives as tools and i don't necessarily worry about a production edge that's not perfect because i will nick it up anyway and have to re-profile at some point.

Just want to share, I just sent in a knife to be rebladed and I recieved an email within 24 hrs confirming receipt of knife and work requested. The estimated turn around time is 2-3 weeks. I guess I'm lucky and I've only been a customer of theirs since 2008. Only issue I had was that I found the email in my spam box.

I also sent a knife recently which got a new blade. Got the confirmation then didn't hear from them for 3 weeks. (vinte77, that is interesting, I never thought to check my spam box).. anyway 1, 5-10 minute phone call to Benchmade resolved the issue. They let me know the holdup gave me a updated time frame and met it. No problem.

. Wow ,that’s some fast mail ,you got a email within 24hrs ? I guess you must have used overnight shipping?K

Once they recieved the knife it took 24 hours to repond, or do I have to spell out everything? I sent it via usps priority. For someone who doesn't know how to use periods or provide details, you sure are picky. I checked my spam box because emails aren't as reliable as everyone thinks.

Details ? Oh I can’t give you them .......................... is that proper use of the period.and I don’t believe your little story.not 1 bit

Lol, I'm almost tempted to post the email and the tracking number but what does it matter? You hate the brand and the customer service, so it won't change a thing.

Wow you saved the tracking # ? Don’t hate the brand just there down turn in quality and cs ,not a fanboy of any brand ,good thing I don’t have a spam box

I don't think you're familiar with technology, when you use certain kinds of platforms to ship things it saves your shipping info plus tracking. Lol, but keep on keeping on guy and I'm glad you found your period.
