Benchmade cuts up guns now?

Or perhaps another person commenting on how ridiculous it is to destroy a product you have already paid for. Take the gentleman above who ground down his 940. Sure, that makes for good protest theater, but it doesn't actually make any difference to benchmade's bottom line. If he sold it, that is a new sale that Benchmade wouldn't have received.

My comment was mostly tongue in cheek. Sorry you missed the sarcasm (I thought the winky face would help). That being said, your comment doesn't make any sense. How does offering to buy a knife constitute anything other than fair(and free) trade? Looting implies a lack of agency. The only way it would be taking advantage of someone is if you think that these people protesting Benchmade are so blinded by anger that they are making grossly irrational decisions.

Infringement of my sacred rights is no laughing matter to me. Have at it. Double down.

I will double down on my offer to buy up Benchmades (at a fair price!) from people that are wanting to get rid of them protest. However you cut it, selling a Benchmade is actually the best way to protest (sarcasm aside). The seller can proudly show the buyer that they divested from the company while also depriving the company of new money coming in.

As I said (and I stand by), I am neutral in this. If I was strongly in favor of Benchmade's decision, I would immediately go out and buy several knives from their custom department.

At some point pragmatism has to enter the discussion.

Get woke, go broke.

Maybe one day businesses will learn to stay out of politics.

This was a supremely stupid PR move.

Way to go, Benchmade.

Between your political donations and this fiasco, you just alienated a HUGE percentage of your own cutomer base.

While I don't own any bm knives my local gunshop does sell them I'll have to call them and see if they still sell them. I'm curious but I'd imagine once the word gets out the gun shops won't be selling them anymore.

How long will it be until the morons at BM start destroying PD-confiscated knives and proudly releasing videos of themselves doing that? You idiots are the best advertising that ZT and Spyderco could dream of in their wildest fantasies. Sal Glesser must be laughing his ass off. He should be.

To be honest, I don’t what guns have anything to do with knives. People scream that both fall under the second amendment right to bear arms, yet most people here tell people that knives aren’t good for self defense. I’ll agree to disagree when they show me guns can do other things than kill like a knife can.

I don’t care that they helped the police department, I certainly don’t like that Benchmade supports gun grabbing Democrats on the regular.
Agreed, I was saying I was happy to see so many other guys on here feel strongly about our 2A. Benchmade hasn't had a cent out of me in years, nor will they get anything from me ever again.

Another one is Leatherman I believe.

For a quick learning experience, you should move to NY City so you can experience the likely style of future knife regulation.

But why does it have to be political? These are guns confiscated from criminals and such. The police can’t sell em. They destroy em regularly. What is the “support for the 2A” solution to this? Redistribute em?

I don’t see the 2A as the solution to lighten regulations on knives. Never have. I don’t believe waving Around the right to bear arms is going to make people see knives in a better light. I have always been of the belief that trying to educate people that knives are not weapons is the better solution. Put one in the hands of every hipster.
