Do some of the 710FE-24 runs not have the patent URL underneath “Williams” on the back side of the blade?

EDIT: found the answer - some newer runs do not include the patent site URL on the blade

Without a paid membership you can't directly attach pictures. Use a third party hosting service such as Imgur. Once the picture is uploaded to Imgur, copy the BBC link and insert it in your post.

I'm wondering if anyone here knows if the Benchmade Osborne 810 Contego has been counterfeited? I can' t seem to find one, so I'm looking on ebay......

Sorry man! I was doing the same thing a few months back. If I remember the fonts were different on the fakes and the pivot was a t8 instead of a t10, the fake looked funny from the photos. I think the g10 milling was off too near the guard but I don't remember what it was.

I flipped mine pretty quickly, it was a big chunky knife that didn't really fit in a pocket too well, especially with deep carry only.
 
I have a Benchmade Flyway unopened in box and was curious about a couple things relative to whether it might be a fake/clone/reproduction.

First, in no photos/videos have I seen a box label sticker has a small QR code printed on it. The code takes you to Benchmade site, but whoopee. (Picture the label in Andersonbushcraft's 551-1 post above with the date moved to the right side of Blue Class and a small QR code put in its place.) Is this a newer style? Has anyone seen this? I have read a few people commenting they have a QR code but never seen a photo nor read anyone respond to those posts with "Yep, they have switched to that" or such.

According to the Steep Country portion of this video (second half of the video) [
] , it shows the box does not have with foam/styrofoam siding. That was first video/photos I have seen without side covering foam packaging, so I guess that must be a thing (and indeed by sound I can tell the box I have does not have side lining either). Is this non-sided packaging more common than photos/videos would imply?

The last knife I bought from the benchmade factory has the QR code on the box and the date is moved to the other side. I've seen quite a few factory knives without foam. I think most of the fixed blades don't have foam. My nimravus came without foam in the box, so did my contego. The presidio I looked at the other day at a dealer didn't have foam in the box. I believe any of the black class knives that come with pouches don't have foam, as there isnt room in the standard box.
 
Just trying to find a Mini Loco and this is the best I can find. Has aftermarket clip. Need help on ideas if it's actually real. Please ignore below comments I made trying to get photos im.

THis one is fake huh? Logo is more centered in the blade than authentic ones I've seen, and the R is too big?

yeah that ones fake. besides what you noticed, the regular production 810 had an m4 blade, not m390 like what’s on this one. in truth you’d have no idea what the steel actually is, certainly not anything worthwhile

Wondering if I've got a fake BM Shootout. Has anyone seen a Shootout sold in a box like this? What you see is what I received - nothing in the box other than the knife itself.
