A mini grip in M4 for $100 bucks........I don't think so......where?you can buy the M4 version of the min-grip for around $100.00 bucks
Ti Wilkins ($206 + shipping) for $150....I don't think so.....where?and spend another $150 on some Wilkins scales and have comparable knife for around $250.00

It wouldn't happen to have a DLC coating and a crowned spine hardened to HRC 63-64 would it?
I did find 1 (used) for $120.
But, that's gray Cerakote, not DLC with no crown spine and not quite as hard, if I remember correctly.
Ti Wilkins ($206 + shipping) for $150....I don't think so.....where?
They wouldn't happen to be anodized with blue Ti barrel spacer and thumb studs too would they?
I'm not saying it's worth it or it's not worth it.
I'm just saying you cannot buy something that is truly comparable without getting close this in price.
I have had Ti Wilkins scales on my M4 mini Ritter............it's simply not the same thing and it cost more than $250.
Oh yeah....all my knives are users. Is your Gold Class Mini Grip a user?
There's 3 Gold Class mini grips for sale on eBay, starting at $552.50 all the way up to $965. I guess the $965 one is extra special?
yes, it's #66. =P
seriously tho, my local knife shop got one and the owner decided to keep it for himself. I got to handle it and it's amazing. the ti scale has a blue hue. the dlc coated m4 is really attractive. and the polished edge is the best i have seen in person, only madrookie's polished edges can compare.
people are comparing custom vs production. keep in mind this one is limited to 175. i think there are easily >175 knife nuts in the world who are willing to snag one at msrp.

Think about this:
Hinderer XM-18 direct price - $385
Hinderer Ti scale - $200
Hinderer blue Ti scale screws, pivot screw, LBS, and standoffs - $82
Total - $667
Benchmade GC Mini-Grip - $650
I was originally debating the two options. The ti Wilkins with inlays are about $230 + shipping. Add that to a CPM-M4 mini Grip which someone gets for say $150 (which would be a good deal) and the price isn't far off from the 556-141. The fit and finish of the GC Grip tho just blows me away. While I've not owned every Benchmade ever made, it's the nicest BM I've ever held short of a few LE balis. The DLC was a nice addition too.![]()
Personally, I like the 556-141 more than the XM-18. I'd like the XM-18 a lot more tho if it was actually priced at $385, in which case I think it would be a better comparison. The large majority of knife owners cannot purchase a XM-18 for $385 new or used.
$650 for a Griptilian? A Mini Griptilian? Not just no, but HELL no.
