Benchmade laser-marking service

I had to post an outstanding experience I had with the laser-marking department at Benchmade. After some correspondence, I sent my knife out late last month to have a full-handle design burnt into it on both sides. In the return form I requested to have it back by September 14th.
Along comes Monday the 13th and I'm picking up vibrations that something is off, so I contact them. Turns out they had some personnel changes. They request an image of the design, which I send out (again.) I'm thinking: "This sucks, I still don't know if this design is going to work out, and now another 4-5 days at least before I get the knife back."
I correspond further and I guess the gods were smiling because for some unknown and unexpected reason I'm now at or near the front of the line and the guy on the phone is sending me pictures of the progress. (This is all within 3 hours.)

This morning I almost trip over a small cardboard box in front of my door, which contained the knife. That means he finished all the work and mailed it so it would arrive 1 day after we started communicating, and on time.
The work was excellent (better than I anticipated) and it cost $5 + shipping. I was not charged an overnight fee. I'm sure this is not standard procedure but I really, really appreciate when a company goes the extra mile to fulfill its commitments.
 
Good to hear.......Roberta and Les are good folks and it's always nice to have employees that take care of business. :cool:
