Benchmade Must Haves?

While I have several Grips and one Rukus, I have a new BM favorite. It is the Bone Collector folder in D2, plain blade. Hande is full metal lined. Axis lock. Think of it as a Grip on steriods plus. I got one with the black/green carved G10 handles. It has a licensed 14 mm "hole" to open. Thick blade, sheepfoot shape. It seems equal to or stronger than my Manix. No camera tonight. If I remember I'll post pictures next week (gone the rest of this week).

I just pulled the trigger on NIB black G10 Mini Ruckus.
So, anyone care to comment on the Torrent or Apparition yet? Huh? Huh?

I am currently EDC a 615 Mini Rukus. It was certainly a transition from the slim Kulgera, but once you get comfortable with the feeling of carrying it, you won't want it to leave your side.

Built like a tank, still a little on the big side (IMHO) but you learn to love it.

Congrats on the purchase, let us know what you think.

As for must have BMs, my next purchase will be the Rift, such a sexy blade!

710
Osborne 940 or 943
AFCK- the quintessential model being the 806D2
maybe a Griptilian

edit: add the CQC7, since it is the model that really brought BM to the attention of the 'tactical' crowd.

The model 800 AFCK,
the 710
one of the Griptilians
the AFO
the 5000 auto axis
the 140 Nimravus M2HS
the Ascent, now called Pika

you may add the "newer" (since 2003 or 2004) 520 and the (since when?)14205.

What is that Benchmade third from the bottom? I like that very much. Very nice collection, btw.

That one is the Gaucho 128000BK in CPM-M4, I only wish I could have bought a second one. I like that Ares too.

I like the Osborne designed knives a lot more than the Pardue designs. I think I'll end up getting a Rft next too, I really like that 2 tone G10, with a black blade that would be very cool.

I think first up is a Grip in my opinion, a knife like the Endura and Delica. Its just a great working blade, no thrills just down to business.

Here is mine.

These were taken when new. The knife has seen a lot of work after this. Dressing deer, farm work, cutting bags of feed etc. Never disappointed me in any way.

Only in my posession for a couple of days. But my third BM is also gonna stay for sure.

4x series Balisong, 800 series AFCK, 806 AFCK, 970/975 CQC7, 625 Leopard, maybe a Brend or Spike as well, and a 710 of some flavor. That way the classics are covered, then move on to the newer stuff!

I honestly love that design, Bob Lum did a fantastic job. I think it's just a wee too big for comfortable carry, that and the blade appears to be a little to thin for such a large folder. Mini Onslaught and I'd be all over it.

+1 on everything you just said. Mini with a little thicker blade

I finally got one, although this one has no green Micarta portion. This knife is bigger than I thought it would be. It was a pleasant surprise. The handle fills the hand comfortably and feel extremely sturdy.
