Making a featherstick is a standard test for their reviews. They also tend to sharpen knives to put a new profile on the edge, so their reviews are often not factory edges.That particular test looks like it was made up so to have the Benchmade win for sure...
The knife looks more Russian than Finnish. Russia has a lot of the same handle designs, but they tend not to use scandi grinds. So when I see a Scandinavian style handle and flat or saber ground blade I think Russian knife.Other than that and the fact that is absolutely not a puukko, the knife looks like a lot of stuff at an extremely competitive price.![]()
It's full tang underneath the handle. There are a few holes to lighten it up a bit.
Would have preferred it not have a First Production mark on it but oh well.
