Benchmade Rukus Discontinued. Now what?

Folders? I can't find them.
The only Spyderco folder that I can think of that is over 4" is the Police, the stainless version being 4.1" and the Police 3 G-10 4.3"
Most brands do not make large folders, they say there isn't a demand but I think it's a PC thing. Cold Steel has quite a range of 5" and 6" folders and they sell well. Cold Steel is not all that worried about PC... :D

PS: The Resilience is 4.25, I just noticed.

They have a new one coming, that's over 5" and with a new "powerlock".

Meh, the Rukus is ok... The ergos on the handle are all wrong to me though. Just feels off. Every time I picked mine up I just thought "man this is a cool looking knife, but it feels like crap in the hand".

I thought the Skirmish felt much better in the hand and they were both Blackwood designs, if it matters.

You could always get a Blackwood Henchman.

I regret selling my Skirmish. If I could find one at all, much less at a price I could afford, I would re-add it to my collection. I am so sorry I sold that thing. I try not to think about it. It hurts. It hurts deep inside.

I store my mini rukus now. But I like it for edc and I like the way it feels in my hand. It s a good looking knife. I would carry it today if I didn t have so many other replaceable options.

I'm in an even worse boat than you are. I sold my large Skirmish (LE with blue Ti handle, black blade, rare as hen peckers) to a coworker. I get to watch him abuse it daily. (Sharpen it on 80 grit sandpaper, coating is gone and handle scratched to hell because of that, recurve is gone, full of chips and dings, to clean it he plops it in a metal sink and scrubs it with Gojo and brake cleaner. He took a very nice limited edition knife and made it look like 50 miles of bad road, and I see it daily.)

I wonder how many other Benchmade knives have been discontinued in the over 4 year time span since this thread started? ;):)

Rukus mini or 615 still a great knife.
I've since bought and sold since this thread started. Reminds me ; I should buy a couple; but the prices have went through the roof.

Just realized thanks to Skyhorse below that this is a necro thread, I didn't even notice and I usually do.

I didn't have the blue Ti handles like you, just regular Ti with black blade. It was so so so so smooth and one of the few cool large folders I could find. Why did I ever sell it? Guess sorta because when I got it I sometimes didn't carry due to size and not wanting to pull it in public. Stupid younger me.

I can't say I feel your pain, but I am sorry you have to go through that daily hell man.
