Hi guys, I sent a knife to benchmade on 9/21 to have a spacer replaced, it came back today and the entire knife had been updated, new spacer,new scales and screws, repolished and well sharpened. These folks take care of knifenuts real well are are actually enjoyable to deal with. I called before I sent the knife and they were gracious even on the phone. Well done Benchmade!!!

They are good, but their warranty policy is less than encouraging for me to buy more products from them. I had a 730 that I had to disassemble to fix some QC errors, and I asked them if I could buy a spare set of axis bar caps (note: I offered to pay shipping and parts cost). They told me that since my warranty was void, they would have to have me send the knife in, pay return shipping, and then add $20 fee (and probably even more for the parts). Until they get rid of the quality control problem or dispose of the dumb warranty voided for disassembly policy, I'm going to be very hesitant when buying another Benchmade (and probably pass it up for a Microtech).
