Benchmade Service/Repair: What has your experience been?

I have heard great things about the Lifesharp and Benchmade repair service. I am starting to flip out because I sent them a Subrosa which was recieved (USPS tracking number) on May 6th. I called twice and they still can't find it. My biggest concerns are what kind of resolution can I expect and how soon? Post office shows they DID receive it so USPS figures they are not involved.

Anyone have a similar or other experience? If so, how did it work out for you?
Do we have anyone on BF who works for them?:confused::eek:
 
If there is a record showing they received the knife I would not worry. I'm confident they will make it right even if it requires sending you a brand new one. Just give them some time to try and track it down and don't make a stink unless you have to.
 
Benchmade is a top flight company, with some of the best CS in the business, you'll be taken care of.

i've just sent 3 of mine lately ... i asked for them for 2 weeks but they could not tell me if they had them or not ... then i received a message telling my knives were into their services for a few days and now repaired and ready to ship ... and also that all my askings were done for free because of their lack of communication ... i thank benchmade for their great service ! among my askings, i wanted a new blade !
 
If they can't find it in a reasonable amount of time (reasonable to you that is), tell them to replace it. I would hope they will?
 
BM warranty is world class and in my opinion rivaled only by Kershaw. Everyone that you speak to there, in my experience, seems to be very well informed and are knife enthusiasts in their own right. I'm from Canada and I've always received my knives back in a timely manner and with excellent work done on them.

Very encouraging to hear. Hopefully mine will turn up or a new blade will.
 
I've dealt with them three times so far. Each time they fixed me up quickly, no questions asked. Once they went way beyond what I expected. I'm a big fan of their services.
 
BM cust service is absolutely the best of the best. These guys/gals go WAY over and above to help you out. I just cannot speak highly enough of Benchmade.
