Benchmade Shane Sibert 755

I would pro'lly scoop one up if it was 0.5"-1" longer in the handle. Damn good looking knife though!

For as beefy as it looks, I would like it to be longer. I also don't like that it is only tip down.

Is that a half scale on the locking side?

Nice to see they are putting a blade out with a higher hardness (besides M4).

Ask TKC about it. He has mini version. Not really... He has a smaller Shane Sibert full custom. I'm not sure about the size of his blade, but I would like a mini from BM with less than 3" blade.

EDIT: Read some more on benchmade's forum... Many think that 3.4" blade is very likely a mistake in the catalog. Blade is probably a tad under 3". Many will be upset, but this is a perfect size for me :)
A Shane Sibert Mini Pocket Rocket has a less than 3 inch blade.

And I am a she, by the way.

M390 is a Bohler-Uddeholm steel. Pretty much the same as 20CV (XM-18, SOG Team Leader) both PM steels with the same composition.

I am really glad that M390 and Elmax are getting used. Hopefully they make some Vanadis grade steels in cutlery sizes for production runs.

Looks as if it would be an excellent companion to my 3.5" XM 18.
Also appears to have a G10 (?) overlay on the back side.
I think the MSRP seems pretty good.

It and the 790 along with the Speedform and Volt would appear to be fine additons to my collection in 2010.

Love RIL s.

Great. Will try to remember for the future.

If 755 is indeed a mini (which now I'm pretty sure it is), I think Benchmade will make a bigger one soon enough.

I will be picking up one of those for sure, that is an awesome looking knife. Does anyone know when in 2010 it will be released?

I really hope it's based on the mini pocket rocket because I have been trying to get one of those. My second hope is that the locking side is ti and not steel.

Wish Benchmade would update their website. As of 05/01/10, they are still showing the 09 catalogues. Is it really simpler to have hard copies of the '10 catalogue printed and distributed to dealers than it is to upload a pdf of it to their site???? All of which is very respectfully submitted :D

You probably won't see it on the website until after the Shot Show where they reveal their new products.

It's funny, I just discovered this knife online about a week ago, as in the original Sibert one, and I liked it. And now BM comes and makes a production one. Cool!

Normally I don't like or buy bulky, tank-like folders, but something about this one appeals to me. With that price though, I don't think i will be getting one. Maybe when they clear them out in a couple of years...

I can not tell you how much I LOVE my Sibert Mini Pocket Rocket!!! It is such a fantastic knife. I have said it in other threads about this, but my MPR is THE knife for me!!

Looking at the overall length and closed length it lists, I'd venture to guess the blade is maybe a 2.4" rather than 3.4. Seems like it will be Benchmade's Leaf Storm.

The Onslaught looks GREAT, but way too big for me :( I hope they introduce a mini at some point, with maybe a 3.7 or .5" blade, though that's not really mini!

And this is my 1000th post I notice! I'll have to gather some knives to give away.
