Benchmade Shane Sibert 755

there's a fellow on benchmades forum that has a proto, looks very thick, a little bulky. also it weights in a little over 5 ounces. isn't that a little heavy for a small knife? i carry a small sebenza, really don't want to be weighted down.

I just received an explanation email from a Benchmade Premium Dealer. He said that Benchmade has told them that they have the first limited number of the 955 MPR's made and that all Benchmade Premium Dealers should receive their first 24 on the auto ship program the end of March to the first of April. Of course the first 24 will only cover those that are backordered for the customers who got their pre-orders in the earliest with Premium Dealers.

After that all dealers will have to wait for their regular order shipments and Benchmade has said that that will probably not be until May. So........it's possible if you have an early pre-order in somewhere that you may be lucky enough to get yours within the next two weeks or so. (If Benchmade does indeed ship their Premium Dealers their first 24 soon!)

Yeah it's mine it's number 112/1000. I'll try to get some better pics up later. It's very smooth. I haven't had a chance to look at it much yet.

They are out now!!! Those who got their pre-orders in early with Benchmade Premium Dealers should be getting theirs this week and next. First Production Model numbered 1-1,000

i had some left over GID tape so i cut a little circle (which was tricky, i ended up putting a socket (4.5mm) over the tape and cut it like 100 times around it) and stuck it in the cut out. =)

Just received mine today. That hexagonal blade stop, with each surface a different distance from the centre is ingenious. Anyone know if thats a Sibert or Benchmade design?

Just got mine as well, It's a very solid little knife and I'm sure it can take some hard use.
My blade isn't perfectly centered but that doesn't bother me too much since it doesn't scrape the liner, nothing wrong functionally.
