Ok, so i have never really inquired about warranty work on my old well used blades.

Although after being here at BF for a bit, i have noticed quite a bit (or maybe just a bit) of foul opinion of my favorite folder companies warranty. So I sent in an old osbornne folder of mine, broken omega springs was the failure. I used the blade often and it was a true EDC, not monday, out of a seven day rotation of EDC's. So this thing was worn down until it was horrifically loose, broken and generally cosmetically done for.

What i got back was the same cosmetically ugly, osborne folder, sharpened, all screws replaced, a new clip, replaced omega springs, and a tight blade with no foul "play" in it. I sent it out, and within two weeks I got an unprompted email that it was on its way back with shipping information and tracking number. They even sent back my old clip as if to acknowledge the people that don't mind beauty marks on their stuff, like myself.

So as has been my experience all along, benchmade comes through for me. This is probably the first blade i have retired that is still serviceable thanks due to the benchmade warranty and service.

Yup you cannot ask for much better than that from a production company. Another big PLUS for benchmade in what recently seems to be a sea of doubt.

I had an experience with Benchmade that was just as great. They went over the top to make me happy. Absolutely great warranty service. BTW- it was sent in to replace broken omega springs

Good to know that if my Benchmade craps out on me, I can expect the company to service it . Stuff like this is always a bit reassuring.

I've needed to use the BM warranty three times for myself. Every time they went above and beyond my expectations.:thumbup:

I've only used warranty services once, that's a real tribute to strong folders, it was to replace a screw I stripped out.

They sent me a complete screw kit.

10+ years of great knives and awesome service.

Be careful!
If you say good things about Benchmade around here you instantly become a mythical "White Knight", as some say.

Yep, I've had very good success with Benchmade's LifeSharp service over the years.

Every knife returned had surprises like new clips and springs, washers, always above average. Last time I sent a couple of favorites up the box was misplaced, but tracking from insuring the package made all the difference.

And the knives usually come back with sharper edges than the factory.

'White Knight' or not, Benchmade's my favorite knife company...:)

I have had above average results with BM, kershaw, and EKI........ other companies i cant say the same for.

I have never heard anything bad about their warranty and I plan on buying more BMs. I have never had to use their warranty because all my BMs have been pretty much perfect. No complaints here.

I needed clip screws - which I stripped in removing since it was before I learned of their blue Loctite use on such. I called them - a week later, I had clip and screws! The next time I called, for shorter clip screws to fit the empty holes on my 615, they must have known I would need scale screws for the empty holes under the clip on my new Apparition. I called them 12 days after ordering the clip screws - they all came together a few days later - in the same envelope. First rate service... sorry, Buck, you've been passed!

Stainz

PS Kershaw is top drawer, too... my early production Damascus Leek destroyed my Torxx driver. They sent me the replacement screws, clips, and their keychain tool kit - gratis! Miss their forum!!

I have always experienced well above average customer service from benchmade, thats what keeps me buying there products..

That is why you buy knives from a company based on warranty service. Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, ESEE - all have excellent reputations on warranty. People who stand behind their product invariably produce a good one.
