Benefit of a doubt or not??

Yup I've been "outed". Not really sure why on the edge decided it was his job to do that, but I guess some of us need to be crusaders. Not a big deal ultimately as he is right it's not hard to find out. I have aplogized and explained the situation to both buyers and their knives have been shipped (before I knew anything about this page btw). I was not a very good seller in this instance because, in the face of extenuating circumstances, I didn't do all I could to ensure proper communication and I made certain assumptions I shouldn't have. The two buyers are of course welcomed to follow up here as they choose, but please let's not turn this into a feeding frenzy where others jump in to pile on arbitrarily.

He did it because this is a community and one of its members was not acting appropriately.
Blame whomever you want. You, G gottahaveit27 , were the problem. You promised something and didn’t follow through.
Fine that happens. When it does happen you immediately have to communicate your failure to the others involved. You didnt do that.
You may have shipped before finding out about this thread, but you were well aware of the problem. You created it. Multiple emails and PM’s were sent. You had time to log in to BF but didn’t respond to PM’s.
I’m not trying to start something here, I’m just stating the facts as we know them.
All is well, that ends well.

There are personal family circumstances that I will not get into here, that frankly made me forget everything but what was going on, and caused me to delegate shipping responsibilities to someone else. I should have followed up but with what was going on it just wasn't on my radar. My reputation on here should speak for itself. If it doesn't and this lapse on my part supercedes all of the other flawless transactions and my 10 years here as an active (though not recently) member of the community...so be it, nothing I can do about it now. Again, I am sorry to my buyers and don't blame them in the least for being upset.

I'm not a crusader by anyone's definition. I looked because I want to know who it is I might be dealing with here on BFC. I also thought my post would be another method of notifying you that there was an issue when you were not responding to other attempts at communication. I did not pass judgment (though it sounds like you did in post 21) and said so in my post. Finally, it sounds like my post alerted you to the presence of this thread. I would think most folks in your position would appreciate that, but then again, I'm not looking for anything other than a favorable resolution to the issue here, which looks like it is in process. As an aside, I hope your personal family situation has also resolved itself.
 
Hopefully this all works out for the buyers. Perhaps they can chime in and advise if they feel the reasons the seller discussed with them were satisfactory and confirm they got the knives. I know we all have heard some of these types of stories by a seller who is not being forthright, but perhaps in this instance there is validity to it. I would say let the OP and other party confirm. Everyone can then choose if they want to deal with gotta moving forward.
 
Received the Bushfinger on Friday. Needed a little clean up but appears to be unused. Got to say the orange delrin is beautiful! (still prefer wood but...)
All in all after over 100 transactions here on BF have only had to bring it here twice. The community is awesome!

There's only ONE party in this entire thread that looks bad, and "yep", you guessed it, it's you. With your "Hey, I do what I wanna do, WHEN I wanna do it" attitude. Holy crap, THANK YOU for telling many of us exactly who you are, and why we should go out of our way to skip any classified listings you have posted.

And Khanvoy44 and on_the_edge, thank YOU for not suffering in silence, and for shining a strong light on behavior that needs calling out.
Somebody mentioned earlier, the integrity bar is set pretty low around here.
 
Hope you feel better. I wonder what kind of complex you have that compelled you to post here. You have no idea about me or my situation and it's pretty bizarre that you would rant at me like this. I don't have the attitudes you expressed at all, in fact I expressed quite the opposite. This will be my last post here as I do not wish to get into a petty back and forth with anyone.
