Besides CPK knives, whaddaya like?

Very nice Bob...what year was that? I feel like I may have held that one (or a similar), we had a friend that dealt a lot of Tinker pieces...I'll have to get pics of my Kukri and the wife's long dagger.

Most of the stuff you see out there that's labeled by Tinker Pearce is the production stuff (not custom) marketed by online purveyors, but not this one. And it's from 2009. I doubt if you ever held this one unless you were around the east coast......

Oh, do you fence? Just wondering, since this is a fencing sabre, have you had one before?
Our son does, but not me... helping out a friend with his business at the RennFaire allowed me to fondle dozens of Tinker customs over the years but none of the swords came home with me. It’s been a long time for sure, that sabre just looked familiar...must've been a different cup hilt Tinker.

Thanks again @Coach23

I like the look of that DW!
I've been wanting to pick one up but I have yet to pull the trigger on it, literally and metaphorically.
Who did the grips, if you dont mind me asking? They look aggressive.

Thanks!

Not at all, brother..I could talk guns/knives all day..

Slabs are from RailScales, Ascend I believe is the pattern/model. I first saw them on a Nighthawk Agent II..had to have 'em..They are grippy, indeed. I have a pair of VZ's carbon fiber on a full size DW Specialist that can be painful..really aggressive. I shoot high/forward thumb(s), so..mitigates it some. Low thumb, old school grip is painful after a few magazines with both sets..

DW's are the best bang for the buck (or were) imo. Highly reccomend. To get better, youd have to go semi custom. Baer, Nighthawk, Guncrafter Industries..at twice the price. I have an older SA Range Officer that I'll never sell, match grade gun that's the most accurate/reliable 1911 Ive ever owned. I will say look for a DW pre 2019/20. Seems DW are cutting corners on the newer stuff. No recessed slide stops, no raised Clark style rib..a few other cost cutting deletes I cant seem to recall at moment..still, great pistols for the money. They were, anyway..still a little crazy out there w/ prices/availability on everything related.

100% can confirm that DW build some of the best value/cost pistols ever. My VBob is a dream to shoot and carry.

Thanks man! Appreciate that, those scales are really singing to me. I'm a big fan of more aggressive grip but I have also run into some that were a little too much, namely Lok-grips Roughnecks.
I don't know if it was just my set but they were extremely "pokey", couldnt comfortably run more than 2 or 3 magazines.

Also thanks for the info on DW's cost cutting in recent years.
I was just looking into the Specialist again and it seems they discontinued it in 2019 so hopefully that would wave any concern for that model with the manufacturing cuts.
It sucks when they do that..
I've been off gun purchases for a year or so but I wish I would have made more in 2019.
Was on a CZ kick for a bit and was on my way back to 1911's when all this mess started, then I just kinda hit the pause button to wait out the craziness.

ETA: That's a snazzy little Mentor as well

No problem and thank you again.

I've been considering knocking down some of the high spots on each pair of grips..on the ever growing list of future projects..

Disco'ed in '19? Wasn't aware. There are some '19's out there w/ some of the deletes I've mentioned then. I recieved one from..Grabagun..? I think..stock photo, shipped the "New and Improved" version. They were cool, sent back for a full refund..found another on a private board. So, be aware if that's important to you. The serial numbers reflect the year..first three #'s. 160 for 2016..ect..

VBob is a great piece TRfromMT TRfromMT

The Mentor, thanks. Buffalo horn G-rexed w/ Blk G10 bolsters/liners..Kinda fell in love w/ the pattern. And really like the thinner .16 blade stock..preferring the skinnys the last years..what drew me to the DEK1, really..

Bought one Mentor, liked it so much, bought two more..If one is none and two is one..then three is for maniacs..seems to be my MO lol..But, I know I'm in good company ;) That's why I hang out here :)
