^ A question I'm very interested in as well and can't let be the last post of the page.Reminds me. Whatever happened to the Carothers Performance Axe?
Spine shot of that, please? A timeless, burly bushcraft build, sweet!

Thank you... much thinner than expected, what a slicer! Not my pic, but:

I just had a conference out there! My first time in the southwest (except that one time I took a bus across the US). Hit a couple 4am hikes, one with a group up Camelback and one 7.5mi solo through South Mountain. Very pretty (and hot)!

View attachment 2196978View attachment 2196980View attachment 2196981I've been wanting to try Varusteleka's Terävä knives for awhile now so I went ahead and ordered a few. A couple different sizes of their Jääkäripuukko and the regular Skrama. The simple design/construction (a Finnish hallmark really) and rugged materials are pretty appealing. I might get their larger Skrama and maybe one of their small blades in the near future.
So far, I've applied the Skrama to blackberry butchery and it's pretty damn effective. Light and grippy, it gets the job done.
I lack a CPK with the reach that I needed to get to some places so I employed the Tyler Smith below to aid in that endeavor - it was a bit rough as it's heavy but it did what I needed it to do.
