Here is an interesting one, from the collector's perspective:

These are basically identical knives except for the CBT and sharper swedge on the left; both sheaths are made for the right one and fit both knives (David doesn't have a Jackhammer):

I have posted this knife before (Esee 6) but the more I use it, the more respect I gain for it. This is well seasoned piñon wood sized for a chiminea or a small pit. The wood is Not overly hard to split but the Esee does a fine job, holds its edge pretty well and as a bonus, I leave it in a bucket (with a lid) out by my fire pit with the fire making essentials that I want to keep dry and never worry about my expensive blade sitting out there. Lots to be said for that.

Got the Patton Jungle Honey cleaned up after some 2x4 cutting at the Compund last weekend. Good as new. No edge damage or anything funky.

I’ve cut smaller stuff with this previously, but no board chops. Considered running it in the cut, but thought it might lack some horsepower compared to the K18. It actually may have done better for me when we played with it after the competition (Dan Keffeler did some cuts with it also). I think that saber type grind helps split the wood, so it was getting through in about 3 hits from my amateur swings. Left more impressed with it than when I arrived.
