They sold out before I could pull the trigger on this one. On facebook they stated they only had 12 available in Magnacut and they really underestimated how many they would sell. Also they stated they placed a bigger order for more blanks and should have them this summer. Looking forward to your review of this beast.

Yea, they sold out super fast! It’s very lively in hand and White River did a great job on the blade. I got it with green micarta and black kydex. I might grab a 3V version also for sheer abuse.

I’m sure that some of you know this, but Lorien Lorien actually made a ‘light chopper’ before there was a CPK light chopper. It’s in my collection, and I think it’s a cool example of witnessing design evolution. I’ll let him give the details, but if memory serves it’s Crucible CPM-S30v, entirely made with hand tools, and features an extremely high polished convex blade.

Lorien Lorien makes unique stuff. I don’t own any of his handmade knives, but I like his designs and his person as well.
aw shucks!🤗

As it’s his knife, I’ll let him touch on the design details, assuming he even remembers. I’m trying to put a date to it, and genuinely can’t. 2008, maybe? Hoping he remembers 🤣
that was the third knife I made- I even posted a thread about it way back in 2010; https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/oh-no-not-another-knife.773082/
I did use a power tool, and that was a drill- might've even been a hand held power drill, but it could've been an actual drill press.
unfortunately, photobucket is now a steaming sack of shit, so none of the pics are around anymore.
Thanks for posting that picture, Matt- I love how it's aged! It was indeed the first prototype for what would later become the LC- although I didn't know it at the time lol!

at one point, before I put the handle together, I brought it to Seattle for a knife event thing, and Jason Knight who was there told me it would break. Glad to see he was wrong, so far!

^That is really cool. Looks to have a slight recurve?
about 5" of the edge forward of the guard is pretty close to a zero grind, (not much of a micro bevel) while the belly area out toward the tip is a little more obtuse and has kind of an appleseed edge. I didn't intend to recurve it, but it does have a little by accident
