You should NEVER need a serrated steak knife, unless you are doing something wrong!!

Agreed, but that's what often comes in kitchen sets.
Someday, when my dog doesn't need a damn surgery or when I start a new more stable job, I'll probably have some custom steak knives made. At least, that's the dream anyway.

Think how much easier a DEK 3 would lazer right through that meat though. Bet you could slice so thin with a DEK 3 you could almost see through the meat

Spyderco is selling the military 2 in 15v steel right now, but they want full msrp with no discounts allowed. Price is $322.

I have a PM2 in 15v and it's excellent, I love it. I don't think I'd pay $300+ for the military 2 though. That's just too much for what you're getting, imo.
