The bar is very high for such an iconic pattern, which is why I kept procrastinating trying it. I'm happy with how it turned out by my standards. I can't get the red liner to pop in the photo like it does in person, but I love the look of the handle on the first one. I'm still at square one on the second one. Very tired from hand sanding.

I could polish mine all day too until I turned 45

If I remember my giraffe bone correctly, the speckles are from the cut closer to the marrow, where the whiter is closer to the outer edge.
