Besides CPK knives, whaddaya like?

Wow what a bargain I found!

I know a lot of members here will only buy American made. But this Kizer fixed blade is one of the best deals I have found. The full flat grind blade came extremely sharp. The micarta scales have great grip and are contoured all except the very edge which I don’t notice when gripping it. No hot spots. I have a large hand and I can get a full grip barely. Excellent kydex sheath with no rattles what so ever. It does come with a very cheap knockoff teklok that reviews online say will break so I just took it off. Will put an Ulticlip on it. I’m carrying it in front pocket along side my Hinderer and it disappears in the pocket. Otherwise the whole package is a quality made knife and sheath.

To top it off it’s made of 3V. Wow $50 doll hairs?!!! What?! The D2?version is the same price now as this 3V.

People have tested it online and it’s coming in around 61-62 RC. Kizer states 61-62.5.

Would make a great neck knife if you carry that way. I plan to just front pocket carry it when I do but also I think this will be my dedicated truck console knife.

Anyways just want to share that this is an excellent knife with excellent steel and on sale right now at Amazon for $50.

Do yourself a favor and get one. If you don’t like it, free returns on Amazon.

If anyone knows where you can get a $50 3V knife that is better than this I’d like to know.

Have a great Thursday!

I have the same kizer in 10v. It's a really good knife. It was affordable, but more than $50 though. Good enough deal that I bought 3. Gave one to my nephew, kept one for myself, and I'll probably get rid of the 3rd at some point. Just don't think I'll get around to ever needing it.

DKong94 DKong94 how do you like thr Gemini? I've been considering one lately
I like it a lot! I just have a plain Jane that i picked up used off of this forum. I like this finish, as I am not worried in the least about any additional scratches. Fits my hand well, if a bit on the small side. Very neutral in hand with a belly. All of my day-to-day is easily covered with this. Carries nice in the pocket. Action is incredible. I think the previous owner switched it to washers, which I was concerned about, but didn’t even check once I got it. Drops shut nice and controlled. Locks up solid, sharpens up nice. Factory clip was very decent. I guess I’m a fan!

My Friend, get one. These folders are intended to last a lifetime. I used to carry a fix EDC knife for my hikes. Yet, McNess changed my view of a folder. You won't regret it. Go directly to https://mcneesknives.com
7 months ago, I left a voice message and 45 minutes later I got a call from Johnathan McNees. We talked for about 20 minutes. What can you expect from a brand when the owner, designer,& builder takes customer service matters personally?

Now, let's talk about Busse Team Gemini, Ultra Light Brigade. Love this blade, but I have to be honest, when I bought it I needed to change the edge angle to 22.5 DPS to make it reliable for all camping tasks.

Just in case you guys are wondering, DKong94 DKong94 has become a very good friend of mine in a short amount of time, as he is a very serious knife guy with greta taste as you can already tell. A while back, he had asked me how it was possible to get his hands on some CPKs (Carothers as others outside these circles call them) and I took it upon myself with the help of his wallet to make his wish come true :)

Dan had seen a Carothers in action destroying another knife and then I forwarded him videos of Ben bending a K20, some videos of Nathan's new buddy, namely JoeX, Dan was hooked and now here he is. I will not let on what CPKs he owns or are on their way to him, I will let Dan to post photos of what he has started with in his own good time.

So, I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce our new CPK denizen and my friend Dan, since we do not have a formal introduction thread anywhere else in the subforum (why? I dunno!). Don't hold it against him that he's a friend of mine, I promise that he's house trained and well behaved. Lastly, Uncle Matty did not sacrifice any CPKs in his own stash to lure Dan in. I still have a firm murder-suicide pact with another great friend on here, we do not sell, we only buy and hold, er, hoard!
