Mini-Griptilian has been an EDC favorite since I first laid hands on it. Picked up a 940 recently, and that's been growing on me as well.

I have all of those and love them. My favorite BM to edc is the 940
Osborne. Give that one a look. I don't think you could go wrong with any of those.

I would vote for the 950 Rift. Between this model and the 551 Grip either would make a good EDC, but I prefer G-10 scales.

I have a dozen Benchmade knives , but carry the Bone collector the most.

In my RFP right now. Great utility/work knife. D2, AXIS, and a spear point blade with a strong tip. I like it so much that I got a 525 to carry when I wear a suit. That's a fine one too, but for everyday knockaround stuff, the mini-BC is hard to beat. I took the clip off of mine since I don't use it and I'm also thinking about adding a lanyard just to improve pocket carry and deployment.

You just cost me more money!
I had no idea they made a mini.
I just looked it up, you're right it does look to be the perfect size for EDC
I'm slipping. :)

Yes, it's really a great knife.
Anyone who likes the Grip , but hates the hollow handle should look at this one. It really doesn't cost much more.

Well your pic convinced me to start hunting for one, already have a tracking number haha

It's always tough to narrow down to just one EDC, I carry 2, I always carry the Full Size grip limited edition with the G10 handles, The handles just feel better than stock ones but also IMO I would carry the stock Full size Grip if I couldn't find or afford the Limited edition. I like the full size, the balance, the feel in my hand, the blades do need some work to be as sharp as I like. I don't care much about pocket profile, more about the knife itself, my 2nd EDC is the Chris Reeve Sebenza 21 plain handle, just such a nice small, light well made folder, wish everyone would take the time and care to sharpen there blades like CR does.

While all the knives you guys listed are great and unique in their own ways - I would have to say any 940 variant (preferably the 940-121).

Why?
Because they are practical and make sense for EDC.
- Slim pocket profile (You won't feel it anywhere on you)
- Whether you go with M4 or S30V, the edge retention is there (especially on the new M4 heat treat)
- 94x series are extremely fast at manual opening/*flicking..

Benchmade 755 MPR ,took the clip off though.Overbuilt yes but durable, cuts like a laser.Love the thing.

I own all of those except for the Pardue, and love them. Of the ones you listed, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. I rotate through all of those and other BMs regularly and they're all pretty great for EDC.

- I own 7 Griptilians/Mini Grips. The full size ones are a little too bulky for my taste but it's an amaing knife.
- I have a Mini Barrage and like it a lot. It's also a little chunky though.
- I love carrying my Emissary. It's slim, light weight, and carries deep.
- I like everything about my Mini Ultra Presidio, except for the 440C steel. It's fine, but I just wish it were something else.

Some other BMs to look at are the Volli, Osborne, McHenry Williams, Rift, and the Sequel. Love those as well.
