Hi
I have about 150 to spend on a knife and want the best value and feaures. I want just plain edge.
Thanks

Well with this question on this forum you could get about 1000 answers especially with only a plain edge requirement. Got anymore specifications so we can narrow it down a little? EDC I assume around 3.5 inches, A Benchmade Osborne is always a great choice or almost any Osborne design.

Paramilitary 2... OR... zdp-189 stretch, or manix...
All of these are in same size group.. (larger hands)..

Well...it depends. What do you consider to be better features or more valuable? Slicing ability? Edge retention? Lock strength? Light weight? Blade length? Blade length to handle ratio? Thumbstud or hole? Assisted vs. non-asssisted? Easy to sharpen vs. more wear resistant?

I don't mean to sound condescending, but it would be quite helpful if you could let us know what sort of things you prefer your knife to have. A budget of $150 can get you a very nice knife.

Spyderco Caly 3 and/or Caly 3.5. Lightweight (3 oz.), narrow and slim profile with CF handles. Takes up very little room in your pocket, comes out fast and is pocket-friendly. Choice of 3" or 3.4" blade of laminated ZDP-189 / 420J2 steel.

Para2 is a good one, although I would advise you to save up a few more bucks and pick up a domino.

My favorite work knife was my BM Leopard, I've carried for almost 18 years.

But, I handled a griptilian I bought for an employee on Friday, and it seems like, almost, the same knife, but w. an Axis lock.

It would be more useful w. Al scales - which I've used many times to tap on things, knock off small amounts of ice, etc - but its a great shape, to me.

I go back and forth between larger Gayle Bradley sized knives and smaller Kershaw leek sized.
Honestly in that price range your right at the price of a Sage 2 . It's about perfect size and even though the Southard is my favorite the Sage2 gets a lot of pocket time its just a "ideal " mid sized knife
