Best EDC Knives?

Depends on what you do with your knife everyday. If you tell us, we can help you. If you don't, we really cant.

Pretty vague question, but I can give you what knives are in my EDC rotation depending on where I'm going or planning to do.

Lg Micarta Insingo Sebenza
Benchmade 940
Benchmade Mini Ritter Grip
Spyderco Techno
ZT 561

I have many others that get put in the mix but these are usually the most carried.

I dont know what a "safety knife" is , but the two standard one hand opening locking folders are the Spyderco Delica/Endura and the Benchmade Griptilian.

But, really, that is just a wild guess for what you are looking for. Do you want locking? Not locking? Big? Medium? Small? Do you want a fixed blade? How much do you want to spend?

Basically, all you have let us know is that you want a knife. Doesnt help us narrow things down much for you.

I was looking at knives similar to the sog flash 2 and the kershaw blur that style is kinda what im looking for

Ive been searching i figured i'd ask here and be open to suggestions this was the best search i could do, who better to ask than the guys subscribed to a knife forum website? Im looking for someones personal opinion and experience and expertise

First off, welcome to Blade Forums :).
Glad you're here.

Single knife approach:
Bottom line is if you want something that can handle the rough stuff, forget about a folder...because.....they obviously are designed to fold, and require some maintenance from time to time because of the locking mechanisms that all share, no matter what style of lock they have; for the $ Check out an Esee Izula 2.
You will forget about it in your pocket, or you can wear it as a neck knife, no clip on the outside of your pants, and the steel is time tested to meet a variety of needs...whether cutting, prying, or basically any other task you would need from an EDC.
Ergonomics are great, and beat out any folder I have ever had for extended use..

If you can afford more:
Go with a combo approach...once you get the Esee, get a good Swiss Army knife with the tools you like to accompany it, but before that, get a good multitool like a Leatherman Charge Ti.
With a combo approach you'll have all you need for specialized situations, but again, if you are talking about a single EDC...that can "handle rough stuff" and won't send you into debt...get an Esee Izula 2.
Great warranty..US made.., and has over time had more time in my pockets than Spyderco, Reeve, or Strider ( to name a few).

Peace, and all the best in your search,

Seth

My well loved (and used) Esse Izula 2 (middle):

Thanks for the advice im looking for a folder that is sturdy and durable i forgot im on a knife forum your definition of rough and mine are a bit different haha considering im used to shitty knives with weak blades just looking for a good folder what is the folding knife you have in that picture?

Yes, I would say Grip/Mini Grip is similar to Flash 2 but better in almost every way. Kershaw Blur is actually a solid choice too but isn't that assisted? I've found I actually prefer unassisted because it's almost as fast and easier to close.

My pleasure bro, you're most welcome.

Oh, if a folder is what you are looking for, that helps clarify :)..
The one pictured is one of the most rock solid folders I've owned; it is a SOG titanium Vision.
The next question is, how much $ do you want to spend?

Sometimes, you do indeed get what you pay for, so if we can know your budget, that will help folks give you realistic recommendations.
There are many, many quality folders out there..;)
