I didn't mean that the Buck was vastly superior or anything. I just meant that of the few I've seen of each, I liked the Buck a little better. I really think they are both great knives, and would probably base the decision on price and availability. The schrade is easily found at lowes and comes with a belt sheath and a hard arkansas stone for less than $50 usually. Thats a pretty good deal.
I don't know exactly what the handle on the LB7 is made of, It looks like delrin only with a slightly different coloring than the old timer line up. Regardless of the name its tough stuff. I've seen 110's in different handle materials they were all nice, but they may not hold up to weather as well as the man made stuff.Either one is good.
