Best flippers

Reate and ZT's take the cake for mid to upper production knives.

On a budget? The Stedemon ZKC is the best flipper I've seen/used for under $100. Insane action.

Smoothest is easily my Freeman Outdoor 451.
With the button lock there is no lock bar to get in the way and no resistance from the lock bar detent.

I get a little depressed when I read stuff like this... Canadian customs has just recently been cracking down on flippers. I tried importing a shirogorov and they denied entry claiming it was an automatic. I'm assuming if I tried the same with a Thorburn it would be the same thing. I'd love to pick one up though.
F'in liberals have ruined Canada...a wild frontier country that busts your chops on a flipper?!....Thank God for the 2d Ammendment!!

On a budget, HARNDS Nyx really surprised me.

Better than knives 10 times the price. These Chinese sometimes get it right!

Smoothest I've handled is Brous Division- like a perfectly restored 56chevy truck- pretty but not your everyday driver.
Best flipper was a Curtiss F3- like a Tacoma- finely tuned awesomeness that doesn't know the word quit.
Zt works, like an old jeep, rugged and bulletproof.

Surprisingly so my Spyderco Southard flips great!
As well or actually a little better than my 204P Domino.
Now my ZT's on the other hand are awesome as well.
Ive got a 0562CF(M390) and the 0452CF.
The ZT's flip with absolute authority. But....it takes a bit more pressure than my Spydies.
I have just ordered a Brous Division, that should be here tomorrow morning. Very interested in this blade...

CKF Peace Duke flips with almost no effort on my part. My first flipper with jimping on the tab and it only makes it better.

I have not had issues with my Kershaw Nura using it around the shop and yard. Sorry to hear of your problems. There really isn't much to go wrong. The pictures of yours look like the knife is brand new.

Aside from a Leek (assisted) my only flipper is a ZT 0450. I was really disappointed with it at first because I couldn't get it to deploy no matter what I did. Once I figured things out (shifted the clip over so it's not resting on the lock bar and broke it in) the thing fires great regardless of how I'm holding it. Much happier now! It's a really nice knife!

I wasn't much of a flipper fan before but now I'm going to try a Mantra next so I can have the option of opening with the hole or flipper tab.

I'm not an owner, but have handled one and was sincerely impressed. The only flipper I've enjoyed more was a Shirogorov 111 on washers. WAY too big for me to carry, but that thing was butter.
