Best folder to accidentally drop in sand?

Yeah I guess the moral of the story is don't drop your knife, it's going to suck for all of them, and if you don't want to grind up all the internal parts don't use it unless you have to, until you can properly clean it. Unless you have a MUDD.

The cold steel ultimate hunter is quite good at resisting muck due to its simplicity.

There is a youtube review where a guy did drop it in the sand and commented specifically on how good it was to clean up after.

The thing about dropping something in the sand, or even snow, is it can quickly be covered and difficult to find.

Therefore I'd suggest something inexpensive and brightly colored.
....with a lanyard.

These types of knives are typically light as well so buy/carry 2 of them.

I will throw in my $.02 here. I live in rhe Arizona desert. Been in the drop it, cuss, pick up and clean off cycle many times. I would say a simple lock system and as open of a frame as you can.

I carry multiple knives on a daily basis and really haven't had much trouble , even if they weren't open frame and simple locks.
