I know I know it's super subjective. But what's the best one in your opinion?

I'm wanting to get a new knife and have a $200 budget. I can get a zt 0562cf brand new for that and that's where I am leaning. But I am a Spyderco guy usually and nothing they offer in that range intrigues me right now.

I'm open to autos and folders. I prefer larger knives 3" and up. But I'm kinda lost on what's all out there in this price range. I haven't had much luck using the search function either.

Hit me with your wisdom!!!!

Edit: I realized I should say intended use. Edc and/or gentlemens folder. I figure at that price point it should be something that looks good.

Might want to check out the Spyderco Gayle Bradley 2.

EDIT: Skipped over what you said about Spyderco... :foot:

You could check out some of Kizer's offerings

BM556-1 (3").

BM551-1 (3.5")

BM940-1501 (3.5")

BM710-1501 (3.8")

There are so many its really up to you. I listed a few that come to mind (estimated blade length). I know BM products but there are many good ones out there.

Reate Hills...
I'm actually surprised you can still get them for $170, they kinda destroy all the other knives mentioned so far.

As an avid Spyderco fan myself, I can personally vouch for the ZT0801. Smoothest flipper I own. Fantastic knife.

I'd buy the 562CF if you can get it for $200, I think it's a hell of a knife. Otherwise, some of my favorites are: ZT 0630, ZT 0909, ZT 0808

Just my opinion, ZT owns the market at that price point. The 0909 hasn't left my pocket since I got it, little hefty, but it's really good overall.

get a CF Skyline
perfect for a gentlemens folder
and if you have/can find a damascus one swap the blades and be awed by the beauty

The 562CF at $200 is kind of the default king of the category because it is not a $200 knife. With MAP it shouldn't be lower than about $240, so take the deal if it is there. My 562 is one of my favorite carries because it is a bigger knife that doesn't feel that big. It is decently light for the size, has great ergonomics, although it is a wee bit thick behind the edge still slices well. It is also the most fun flipper I have played with, hands down. The detent on mine is perfect, and I have to try to get a bad flip. The blade steel is also superb.

If you want something that maximizes performance for the buck, you can't beat the new M390 Ritter grips. If the handles bother you, you can always look for a custom set, which can be had for $80ish new (more for nicer sets, possibly less if you find a closeout).

For me it's a no Brainer. If I was looking for only one folder and all I had was 200 I'd get a domino blue cf. Or a regular version and save for a custom scale.

You guys might be getting sick of me talking about my domino but I can't help it, it's a great knife imo!

The trouble with a question like this is that there is an ocean of choices available to you, with literally thousands of knives all meeting your broad requisites. What you should do is approach this like those used car commercials where they start with a fleet of cars that gets whittled down to just a handful at the end. Begin applying preferences beyond a budget and your preferred selections will come into focus. Just a few factors to consider (with some recommendations):

Blade finish (satin is usually bespoke and classy for gentleman's folders)
Blade shape (a classic drop point or sheepsfoot would be appropriate)
Blade steel
Handle material
Handle color/finish
Lock style
Pivot hardware
Pocket clip appearance (not something super shiny or with skulls on it)
Service track record
Brand reputation
Possible resale potential

You needn't answer all of these, or even have an opinion on them, but having preferences on as many as possible will lead you to what (at the moment) is your best option.
