I have a Folding Hunting Knife an Older Frost Cutlery either a Ocoee or something like that, it was a inexpensive folder, but I alway's wanted a 2blade Slipjoint Hunting Knife, and suprisingly that 440 Stainless really held up and is still pretty sharp and in very good condition. But I wanted to up-grade a little. I recently purchased 4 Case Slipjoints, two Large Trappers one in a Crosscut Bone in S.S. and a Large Yellow Handle Trapper in CV. I also got a Large Canoe in CV, and a CV Large Stockman, I bought tgem at the pawn shop in their box brand new but one of those deals where tge owner forfeited and I was able to buy all four plus a vintage Camillus Electrician Knife U.S.A. made but in very good condition but used and a vintage hand warmer without the pouch all for $125.00. But I still wanted a Slipjoint Hunting Knife. I really like my Case Knives, and I also have other Case Knives and tgey always were very good for me, but this time I got a Bokor because my very first knife was a Bokor Tree Brand and I remembered how sharp it was, yup, I cut my thumb whittling Oouch. Another reason I went with tge Bokor was because I wanted a full grind just like my first knife which was a Stickman, infact I bought it underage but tge guy saw I was a nice kid and sold it to me. So Yeah I went with a flat grind, the only thing that bothers me about Bokor is the hush, hush about the type of steel they use. It's listed as a high carbon stainless steel, sounds good right, but Google what tgat means and it could be everything from 440a to 440C and everything inbetween. I understand that even a good temper on a 420 blade will preform. I once heard a guy from Case say that in a video it was a NutNFancy Vid, "he said their 420 stainless tempered by Case Temporing will out preform others stainless steels. I hope Bokor feels and does equally the same with their tempering. But it would be nice to know excactly what it is, on my Bokor it is stamped high carbon stainless steel. I haven't had it long enough to agree that it's good or bad, but anyhow I wanted a flat grind and so far it is performing good, and surprisingly a Solengin, Germany Knife and a Tree Brand was priced right. That also made me go with the Bokor Hunting Folder. Another reason was Case are known to be collectables and even Case admits that, But I didn't want a collectable but a user.
