Best Folding Knife Action You've Ever Felt

When you find something smoother than an Ande Thorburn please let us know. I'll need one!

Actually, this one is pretty damn smooth, too - the Vallotton - had her out of the safe today:

My Kershaw RAM is hands down the smoothest-opening knife I have. It's one of the few I don;t tweak or mess with at all, since it seems to be adjusted exactly at its "sweet spot". My Spyderco Native Ti is the smoothest Spyderco I've ever opened.

I've also got an old U.S. Schrade LB7 that opens more effortlessly than most of my modern knives. It's spring tension is perfect, with no rough or sticky spots anywhere in the blade travel.

Satisfaction:
CF regular Sebenza (for some reason a little better than my small CF Sebenza). I don`t know if the CF side affects action performance/feel vs. full Ti.

Smoothness:
ZT 0562 right out of the box
TAD Dauntless MK4 after tweaking

John Grimmsmo Norseman.... I cry when I think about the day I sold mine. I've said it so many times, but I wish I never moved that one

Doesnt get any smoother than those knives..
Why did you sell it? Money issues? Just curious.. :)

Next after Grimsmo, i think its my Andre Thorburn L51, those are also very smooth.. :)

In the budget line my Kershaw Skyline is very smooth. Mid-range I would have to say the Spyderco Domino, and finally higher end has to go to my large and small Sebenzas. Hard to beat the smoothness of a Chris Reeve.

My Sebenza 21, ZT 801, and Kizer Gemini are probably the smoothest of the knives I own.

Non-bearings- Terzuola Starmate
Bearings- Emerson Iron Dragon (its the only knife I own and have handled that rides on bearings)

My Syderco Resilience is surprisingly and opens with just a slight flick of the finger or thumb, and locks up fixed tight. My Ti-Lite IV is also very smooth. And finally, my CRKT blue ripple is an easy smooth flipper.

This Buck Lux Pro still stands as the smoothest, lightest action on a knife I've ever felt. Has a great metallic click when it opens and closes. I don't carry it to often, but man its nice looking.

The one that comes to mind is a small William Henry I handled in a knife shop a few years ago. Beyond butter...

As to current, more mainstream knives, for thumb flicking I like a Cold Steel Ti-Lite IV. For regular opening, the Grayman folders are extremely smooth.

A well-tuned Emerson on a good day while still carrying pocket heat can be pretty smooth as well. :)

I love the action of my user ZT 0600. To me, it's so smooth, it's almost boring (almost, because I do really love flipping it, lol!), as in, no technique required.

For me - the most successful knife Shiro F95 T this M390 steel. Good weight and full titanium.

For overall sensory overload I love my CRK. Its hydraulic like smoothness is best. For ease and slickness it's hard to beat my properly set up Benchmade 940. The extra weight out near the end (reverse tanto) combined with smoothness make it flick open and closed effortlessly with no play.
