I'm thinking either a ka-bar dozier, byrd raven or a SAK

problem with the sak is that they're over $25 unless I decide on the cadet version which has the smaller blade though I no longer doubt the usefulness of saks

I got a Cadet from Target for $18. An excellent buy for the money, nice red Alox scales, useful tools, small enough to easily pocket outta sight, but still big enough for most EDC tasks. Super light too. Do not doubt it at all.

I always travel with a SAK Climber. Cuts my food, opens my wine, beer, cans, clips nails, trims beard, cleans my teeth, pulls out splinters. No one freaks out when you pull it out. Less than $20. Traveling across borders with a 3" to 4" single blade locker is asking for trouble.

EDIT: Skyline looks nice. Let us know how it works out.

I'm going to do a little travel over the summer overseas and I need a folding knife with a smallish blade, 3"~4"
just to carry around
what's the best blade under $25 from amazon.com(preferably since I need it quickly) or somewhere that would take a week or less to arrive
looking for one that won't snap if I tried to cut rope:)

thanks

I completely missed the *traveling overseas* part the first time around...

If you're going to the UK, you might have to get a slipjoint. I think locking blades are illegal there. So...

Lockblades legal: kabar dozier
Lockblades NOT legal: SAK

you can find perfectly good sak's used online for cheap. google felinevetshop.com or smartknives.com for used sak's.
