Best folding Tanto?

That's a gorgeous tanto, with what sound like great design elements. I have three questions:
What's the lock?
How much will it cost?
When can I get one?

Hi Rick!

That tanto folder is incredible! You guys have done a great job!

So far I have just admired workmanship, design, and feel. For real serious work I will wait for the production version.

So I'm in line here:
When is it coming? I know you guys are busy, but the greedy crowd demands fuel to nurture it's passion.

And don't hold us too long off with the clip point blade in A2

Ralf did send me some scans of his prototype. Very nice scans. It made my mouth water

Thanks Ralf !

Question for Mission:

What will the production version look like? Usually, there are slight variations from the proto. For my tastes, the point edge is a little too long in preportion to the rest of the blade. Looks strong as hell!

Just got a package at work today.
A Gunsite II folder!!! When you are asking for the best tanto most people would go the route of the more it cost the better it is. For me this is not the case.

I own a Emerson Specwar, Chisel grind. This folder feels great in the hand, problem is it cannot pass the spinal tap test, has already failed numerous times.

This Gunsite II is only 55.25 from Skylands, and is not only sharper and lighter but also stronger then the 200.00 Specwar.

My only gripe would be the plastic clip. Then again I could buy almost four of these badboys for the price of that Emerson. Bear in mind I don't want to knock on Emersons, its just that liners for me have lost that loving feeling!

Burke, I can answer one of your three questions. (I'm sure Rick will pick up the rest.) If you look closely at the picture you can see the integral sidelock cutout in the handle under the clip. This is similar to the Chris Reeve design, but the Ti handles are thicker and much more ergonomic in my experience.

Rick, how's my MPF repair coming?!?
