Best Hollow handle Survival knife

I can see them, and they look awesome! who made those? they look like customs.

Robert Parrish. Last I heard he had retired from making knives.

They are custom, normally 440C although he did use D2 as well (not sure if in the survival series). Apparently the saw teeth worked really well, unlike most.

Large one is "8" Survival"
Small one is "Sunfish"

I always wanted one of them. One notable thing about Parrish was that he kept his prices constant for many years, decades, even. The 8" was always advertised at $225.

Les Robertson used to sell Parish knives on his website. Don't know if he still has any.

As for the small Microtechs not being a good answer to the original question, I guess you missed my point, the fact that they can be any answer at all, the fact that Microtech actually now even makes a hollow handle survival type knife is pretty amazing, don't you think?

I realize they are on the small side for being a true survival knife, but I wouldn't feel so bad wearing one as a neck knife, I collect custom neck knives and think these new Microtechs are very unusual and really neat, but that's just me, well maybe not, since I have had 6 emails since posting from people wanting to know where to buy one. :)

I have this one coming next week by the way and it will make a nice neck knife for me. :)

That looks pretty sweet! Good choice! It was the one that caught my eye, too.

I have a Randall Model 18 and a Robert Parrish Survival - My vote goes to the Robert Parrish. A great knife that is well thought of by the troops that have one. I carry and use mine often. They are occasionally for sale on ebay, usually for $450 and up...
