Best knife for $100.00

It is possible to get a paramilitary 2 for exactly $100 or a little under at a certain online retailer. You will have to look for it because we are not allowed to link. The sage you can get for a few dollars under $100 at another online retailer.

Man, what is up with all the spyderco in here - i have a delica 4 and love it - but there are hundreds of knives that you can get for under $100 that are just as good / better depending on the person

Benchmade Griptilian Mini and full size

Benchmade Lone Wolf

Boker Exskelibur

Buck Vantage Force Pro in s30v (high quality stainless steel FYI)

Ka-Bar Dozier - and its only 20 bucks

CRKT M4 and M21

You can even get an amazing custom made for you by a few makers for that price - go take a look in the knife makers for sale thread - there is a ton of great stuff in there... heres a picture of my michael morris custom friction folder - it was $115 including the $10 dollar sheath, and the exposed "tang" ( the body of the knife blade that is not the cutting edge) is a bottle opener, so i got a multi tool custom for $115

There are really so many knives that you could choose that you should just go to your local store or one of the major online retailers and just keep looking till you see one you like, and if its in your price range and size - GO FOR IT!

IMO Spyderco Stretch 2 ZDP-189 or a Para 2 are the best knives that can be had around $100

People pick Spyderco quickly because they are well known, relatively cheap, with more offerings in that price range that we know off hand rather than going to actively research a LOT of knives that are available at that price. Cuz there be lotsa knifes n such out thurr.

You can get the benchmade warn for 95$ new if you look hard enough. I dont want to post where bc it might violate some rules, but i just got one for that (103 shipped). I believe they have the griptillian for 75-ish.
If youre interested, I can pm u the site i got it from. Ive found it to be the most cost effective way to buy a benhmade (I dont work for them, they are just ridiculously cheap.)

Buck Vantage Pro (large) For $60 is a steal. Pocket the extra $40.

Definitely this one. Paul Bos heat treated S30V steel, G-10 handles, solid (and pretty thick) liner lock, and my favorite feature, deep concealed pocket clip. I can't think of another production knife that can offer more at $60ish. Heck, you can buy a Spyderco Tenacious with the remainder.

i would try to hold an endura/delica and a griptilian. both amazing knives but i prefer the slimness of the spyderco's.

Either the Kershaw Blur or wait until the Kershaw Piston is selling. I'd probably wait for the Piston, that is one sexy sexy knife :-)

I carry a lot of Benchmades and own other brands. So don't think I'm on the Kershaw koolaid. Fact is - they just really offers a lot of bang for the buck and their customer service rox as hard as their products.

I second or third or whatever it is the Para Military 2.

Alternatively, you could easily get a FFG Delica 4 and a Spyderco Sharpmaker to keep it sharp.

Thanks for the input everyone! I took a look at that Kershaw Piston and I think I am in love! I have never owned a Spyderco, but that may just be the next purchase.

Just ordered myself a Centofante 3 for $58 through Amazon.....can't wait to get it. How awesome is the blade on that thing? And VG-10 to boot....what a deal!

Benchmade 551 Griptilian & CRKT Ripple 1, both awesome blades and can be had for much less than 100. You could also pick up an AG Russel Italian Made Tactical.
