Best knife for ~$200?

FWIW, not all emersons are chisel ground. In fact.. most aren't these days. I like the: CQC15, CQC7A, CQC11, CQC-8, Horseman, etc..... handled all but the 7A, but since it is identical to the tanto version, I'm sure it is just as good.

I like the Emerson's, but I think of them as more of a fighting knife. Right now I'm looking for an EDC knife, but if in the future I want something different, I'll look at an Emerson.

Well then the best knives in your price range have been mentioned... Perhaps see if you can score a kershaw volt blem model?

the volt was extremely limited production, your best bet would be to jump on a blem. or pay more on the secondary market.

Yea, every normal model is spoken for... but kershaws CS is top notch - and I have bought a ZT blem 350 that was perfect aside from the slightest mark in the DLC coat...

The blems are new, just had some minor aesthetic imperfection that didnt pass QC.

I know the blems are new, but the fact that they're not covered under warranty is what bothers me. Granted, I'll probably never use a folding knife hard enough to make it fail, but it's always nice to know there's a good warranty behind it if it does fail. Is that kershawguy's e-mail?

No thats one of the 2brothers. A vendor here on BF, you can see the volt post in the exchange under Production knives FS by dealer

Also, FWIW, the things that would go wrong on a knife like this, are easy to get replacement parts from kershaw.... At 150 for the blem... it is an amazing deal... super steel and Ti framelock...

Alright, well if I decide I want to buy another knife, I'll get the Volt. Thanks for all the help everyone.

Email me and I will link you to somewhere with a new Volt.

I couldn't find your e-mail, could you e-mail me at ryts100 at gmail.com?
