Best knife for long-term camping?

I have a bunch of fancy Swedish axes from years back, and went through many of the common knife manufacturers. But if you dont want to spend a lot of dough, there are the Mora knives, and Husqvarna axes. The Husky hatchet has always been a sweet spot for me. I might have 2-3 of them...... A Leatherman multi tool is nice to have on belt also, opens cans, then you lift it off the heat with the pliers. Incredibly handy.

I love my Siegle Camp knife. I’d probably take my TGULB or DB421 if I wanted to only bring one. The Siegle is a brute and is heavy as hell.

Siegle knives.

No bells or whistles, no fancy box, no advertising, no catchy logo, not available in stores..

Just.. time tested, one of a kind, handmade, tough as nails, fair prices, excellent heat treatment, from a maker who spends more time using his knives than most. Very humble tools. You would be hard pressed to find a better knife for the money (or a better knife in general).

Users.

I would choose something from LT Wright in the 4 - 6” blade range. Either a GNS, Genesis, Outback, Gen 5, Illuminous, etc. it was good enough for several contestants who were out in the wilderness alone for months at a time on the show “Alone”.

He can’t be serious. He didn’t set a budget in the OP 😉
I LOL’d at the Rockstead comment.
