Best knife value under $50

I guess I should have said what I already have that costs under $50, I have a Leek, Tenacious, Skyline, Dragonfly 2, UKPK, around 12 SAKs, and an Opinel No. 8. I like the RAT 2 and the Real Steel H6 so far.

I recommend the Martinni Pelican. You can find it on Amazon between 30 and 40 dollars. Scandi grind made in Finland.

Never seen one of those; I need one!

Oh for the OP; Kabar Doziers and Ontario Utilitacs are both great choices.

We think alike on this... 2 that I like in this range are the Real Steel H6-S1 and the Rat 2.

This! Dollar for dollar the link is one of the best knives out there. CRKT GSD is also very nice but may be a few bucks over your budget.

Kershaw Link. 420HC steel and it comes in a few different variations. One is bound to suit your needs.

Tanto or drop point blades, aluminum or FRN handles, stonewash or blackwash finish. All made in the USA.

Many good choices suggested in this thread. So much depends on the mission profile for the knife.

I really like D2 but my beater-use AUS8 knives like Ontario RAT2s and Cold Steel Voyagers seem to hold up fine. Keeping the edge keen is key.

Yeah, the RealSteel H6 and the H6-S1 are incredible options for a $30-40 knife. They're kind of an "improved" RAT, lol. The H6 comes in several different G10 colors and the smaller S1 version comes in G10 or carbon fiber. I prefer the CF version because the thumbstuds are configured a little differently, but you can't go wrong with either one. The H6-S1 is probably a little more "sheeple friendly".

A couple more $50 knives I forgot to mention are the Kizer V3 Vigor or Kizer Begleiter. They're both awesome knives for the price and can be found for right at $50 if you look around a little.

In that case I would say that you are missing a Blur, especially considering your username ;) Sandvik is about as good as it gets under 50 IMO.

Spyderco Tenacious

Love that knife

Ooo Kershaw Link

USA baby

Ha, you beat me to it. With that username, I'd hope the guy knows what models are available in the Kershaw line. ;) So I also think the Blur and Link are a couple of the best bargain blades around.

And in the Spyder line, if you like the Tenacious and DF2, try something sized in the middle like a Delica4.

Ontario Rat 2 is hard to beat, especially in D2 steel, the Aus 8 version is great too

Rat 1 in d2... real steel h6 would be an excellent choice

I've had a Rat-1 for a few years. Decent knife for the price. Plus, comes in a variety of slab colors and stainless or black blades.
