best knifes under 10 dollars

Sanrenmu has quite a few decent enough knives for around $10. I've bought a just few different designs. I'm not much of a modern knife guy.

Thing is, I don't like them all. Some have what I consider fatal flaws. Plastic-y handles at times, the most common being made for smaller hands. Many are surprising value for the money. The 7010 is tried and true and many have one. I have bought a few as gifts but I am still using the first one I purchased for myself when I do use a modern knife.

Just about every Sanrenmu can be found for under $10USD. Yes, they are pretty good knives. All the tantrums by BF members declaring otherwise will not change that fact.

Perfectly good knives can be found around $10. The reason is that reasonably crafted knives are truly nothing special. Knives are extremely mature technology, pretty much among the oldest tools known to humanity. What we knife nuts pay more for is bragging rights, shiny man-baubles, and marginally better performance (If you're lucky.) Which is fine. Helps keep the economy fueled globally. I've come across plenty of knives that cost $10 or less, and are quite good tools. None have an expiration date, and will serve you well for a LONG TIME.

Right, the point being that much better knives and options come into play with a price point of $10 more dollars. There was no mention of "man baubles" nor bragging rights, that's your filter/mirror/deal, not mine. I can tell that you've already seen through the site-wide under $10 knife conspiracy and are clearly a man of strictly form and function, so I will accept your mini-rant on this matter. You'll also note that while I'm not nearly as versed as you are on this subject I specifically mentioned a brand (despite not agreeing with all of their practices) that would more than likely represent a solid sub $10 knife. My point was not to tantrum, ahem, but to inform the OP of the vast majority of sub $10 knives and hopefully steer him clear of the garbage. Like Budk and Mtech.

Save your money and buy an entry level Spyderco or one of the Ontario Rat series, they can be had for around $20.
