Well, I said I wasn't bringing the new Grip out in public until it's new clothes got here from Mother Russia. The orange G10 Igordeds got here yesterday and I shot a couple pics out by the woodshed and on the job today. Baby got new shoes!

Cool, think I may order some CF scales from our Russian friend.

You've got some seriously beautiful knives, my friend. Looked up your avatar--was the USCG Gallatin (now NNS Okpabana) your ship?

Thanks!

Yes, she used to be. I was a Gunner's Mate in the CG and did two tours on Gallatin during my career. First out of Governor's Island N.Y when she was re-commissioned and a second tour during which she was re-homeported to Charleston S.C

Great ship, crew and memories.

Where can I find one . This one looks sweet

Unfortunately at this point they're only available on the secondary market. The BM Ares 730-1501 was a LE, only 250 pieces made. I ordered mine directly from RGH Knives in Taiwan. They were the only dealer to get them. You had to e-mail them and request which number you wanted and then pay via CC or PP. It was a bit of a process but worth it.

I've seen a couple pop up here on the exchange so keep your eye out. I've also seen a couple on the bay. Best bet I think is to monitor the exchange for one.

All the best!
