While I've made a little Altoids tin kit recently, I really like Ritter's PSP and have one in each vehicle. I've stuck a SAK Classic in each but that's not the best knife for even the simplest outdoors task.

Today, I got a new Buck 110 from LL Bean and it came with a Chinese made mini-Buck lock back. It fits perfectly but is not available for separate purchase.

I'm looking to replace the Classics with a single lock back blade of a similar size. What can you recommend to fit the Ritter PSP or Altoid tin?

Maybe a Buck 325 Colleague (frame lock!)

or....

If you have room, a Spyderco Dragonfly with the clip cut off. This would be the best. Great egros if you needed to use it for heavier choirs.

The Ladybug looks interesting. Buck has a couple small lock backs like the 325 and 505 (sort of a mini-110 but with a drop point blade).

All those knives are too big, grunt save for the JK Tin knife. For this use a folder is probably better (bigger blade). I wish I could do business with JK but he doesn't take credit cards or PayPal.

I've got a BRKT PSK and it seems like it would do well in a PSK tin. Small enough to fit yet big, errr...sizable, enough for probably any task you might ask of a small knife. Definitely a choice to consider .

Might also consider a Buck Hartsook with the sheath modded to be flat.

A Buck Smidgen or Hartsook is surprisingly useful for it's size, but a SAK like a Huntsman will fit in an Altoids tin and offers even more utility.

there are a lot of good PSK style knives out there... here's a short list..:)

-BRKT PSK knife
-BRKT mikro slither
-BRKT trickle
-Buck hartsook
-Gossman PSK
-Koyote PSK's
-Tops mini harpoon
-JK tin knives

folders:

-Sdyderco ladybug
-SAK classic
-Case mini trapper

The upcoming yellow Spyderco LadyBug with non-rust H1 steel is IMHO the best companion for the Ritter PSP. It would also fit in the pouch.

I would recommend a Spyderco Dragonfly. Fits nicely inside an Altoids tin. With a lanyard that fits over the pinky, it makes a great knife for its size.
