Best Multitool...

Surge is an awesome tool but dear lord is it heavy. Pull your pants down, strain a bicep kinda heavy. That and the Supertool 300......phew.

My SOG powerlock had never failed me, and the fact that it has gears makes it so you can put soo much cutting power on the cutters, and grip things much tighter, and it makes it easyer to open for me, i flick it around like a Bali

I like them simple and light as opposed to carrying a toolbox with me. I like the Leatherman Kick. Basic tools on it that can do a lot. Good screwdrivers for reels/scopes , pliers/wirecutter/can opener. I've never had a need for scissors, file , or other seldom used tools. My sharpening stone covers file duty.
Pretty inexpensive ( around $30) and as I mentioned , not heavy. I never wear it, but put it in my pack.

I had a LM Wave and loved it. Then i got a TTi and much prefer it over the Wave. Same tool set, wire crimpers, but I particularly like the rounded edges on the TTi. Not to mention it is simply a beautiful tool. Its currently my edc and I couldnt be happier.

Mike what do you think about making a Kyadex sheath for that? Is it a waste?

Not a waste per se but the nylon sheaths that come with the Wave and Surge tools are really great.

I made a sheath for a Wave that attached to the front of a HEST sheath. It was alright but the issues I found were that the Multi had to be inserted in the proper configuration to work, not just top to bottom but the proper side too. I assume this could be done differently but it would have a rattle.

I would just stick to the nylon or leather offerings personally.

I'm going with the usual... Leatherman. Specifically a Leatherman Super Tool.

I have a "retired" Super Tool and not the newer Super Tool 300. I've had it since I was a kid. Hasn't failed me yet!

I have 3 Supertools that I recently had redone at leatherman they are awesome. I also have a Supertool 300 I like alot. But the one Leatherman I have used most over the last few years is the Skeletool with bit kit.

Charge TTi is excellent.
Then, you have the Supertool 300 probably.
Then the HEST.
Then the Wave.

Goo enough for me. Thank you sir. Have fun in Vegas

I'm not big on multitools, I know sacrilege. Leatherman Wave is my favorite thus far though.

SOG has the best pliers..thats it..the best tools aside from pliers goes to leatherman...based on that i would go with leatherman.

It's nice to see the SOG Powerlock getting represented a lot here. I have one and love it to bits!

Leatherman Charge TTI

Hands down !!!! In my opnion anyway
I've used SOG, Gerber and several different Leathermans...

Leatherman Charge TTI beats then all...

So, do any of the full size multitools have a proper 1/4 inch bit driver?

Leatherman does, if you own the accessory bit driver. I won’t carry a Leatherman with exchangeable bits without also carrying that bit driver. The extra length has saved the day too often. The fact that the bit driver also accepts regular hex bits is gravy.
