My recommendation: Fällkniven in 3G steel.

For a small fixed blade the F1 in 3G is my first choice.

In my humble opinion, if you are wanting to think outside the Busse box, Miller Bros Blades are a fine choice. I will not make any comments about Busse vs Miller Bros or which is better, because that's not a battle worth starting with respectable people here on this forum. But if you want a good knife made by some of the toughest steel available, heat treated to hold and keep an edge through a thorough beatdown, you really can't go wrong with Miller Bros knives. Busse, ESEE, Miller Bros are all the best in their own ways!

I'm in the Fallkniven camp too. 3G is awesome followed closely by their cobalt laminated steel. Only a few.models in the
lam cob but one might tickle your fancy. Off the top of my head there is the kolt, sk 6 and the police tanto. Quite a few more choices in 3G. Lately kiku matsuda knives have been stuck in my head and everything I hear about ou-31 steel is some nice stuff too
