best of the best "tactical" knives

Let me get you back up to speed:

OP wants ninja knife.
Guy 1 suggest CS.
Guy 2 says Lynn Thompson is a jerk.
CS Rep replies "My boss totally is not a jerk!"
OP responds to CS Rep who wan't talking to him.

I think that's about it.

Yeah, about what I was seeing, until my eyes glazed over. I am still trying to follow the OP. I feel like I'm reading some cryptic code...

Hello, i'm new here and wanted know what everyone here thinks are the best of the " tactical " style of knives (i.e. no leather, wood, or anything that was once apart of a living creature, that is unless theoretically speaking someone dropped a high power magnet into a huge vat of cow's blood and used the iron mixed with cow bone ashes to make a steel knife, which is unlikely). I wanted to know because i'm a fan of the opposite (leather grip kabars, bowies and, m1903's) and wanted to know if they present a significant advantage that warrants the usual $300+ price tag for 6 inches of steel and plastic. im looking for things like small daggers, combat knives, bowies, machetes, etc.

OK, you lost all of us with the cow guts and bones thing. If you find that kind of thing, please post. Otherwise, WTF are you talking about?

The best tactical knife would be the kitchen knife or prison shiv. Neither costs much.

What are you looking for exactly? A folder, a fixed blade, dagger, sword, machete?

Please leave out the cow stuff and help us help you.

Oh look, a piddling match! Now let's ask everyone if they care. Mick or Lynn? I vote: I like knives. I could give rat's donkey about either of the two. I like knives. Just not ones made with cow stuff, apparently...

Was that in response to me?

Sorry if I seem like I'm pushing my personal opinion...didn't mean to

Best spec-ops-dark-ninja-anti-terrorist folder out there is quite easily the Böker Kalashnikov 101. That thing is so wrong, it goes all the way around to feeling right again. I swear that blade shouldn't feel as good as it does in hand. It always brings a grin to my face holding that thing.

And you know what's best of all? It's affordable but you can tell your non knife people friends it cost 500 bucks because it was designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov, which of course it wasn't. In fact I doubt Kalashnikov ever laid eyes on the thing but hey, they don't know that right. And that glass breaker on the end? That's no glass breaker that's a frickin' skullcrusher. because that's how Russian special forces roll baby...

Okay j/k, but that thing really is my no1 guilty pleasure

Well, you and the CS mod were both making those views of the other guy's guy being bad. Just seems like a silly dispute. So I put it up for a vote. Break the tie, I say!

Lmao ! The best part about these Bökers is that they look horribly tacticool, like some of those S&W ninja blades. But unlike those they're actually competent blades. The Kalashnikov models will take some serious abuse and the 440c they use is actually very decent.

440C is good stuff, so I have no doubt they'll function, but good Christ! That last one looks like ass! Tactical ass, but still ass nonetheless!

Well I think it is pretty Mall Ninja (still cool though).

Cold Steel Recon XL Tanto. 5.5 inches of blacked out tanto mall ninja goodness.

Also a very competent blade.

If you're lucky you could find the XHP Recon 1 Tanto on eBay. It's "only" 4 inches in length, but it has a very heavy duty steel in the blade.

The poster above me is on to something........ You need to get yourself a tanto:D:D:D

Gotta love the "virtually very nearly almost indestructible tactical wooden grips" and the "Unique combat-proven combat profile for combat"

I kind of like the CS American Lawman myself.

The price is right and it has well designed blade and good lock up.

I say go, Busse or Dozier.
For a folder, it's Urban Tactical, all the way.
